It does best if kept in an aquarium on its own or with other aggressive species. May attack its tank mates sooner or later. This fish is shy when first introduced to the aquarium, provide plenty of hiding. But, with time many specimens will begin to associate their caretaker with food, it will welcome your arrival and swim near the water's surface waiting for its food. It is also known for rearranging the décor of the aquarium.
